Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to help DIY customers with expert product knowledge, parts lookup, and in-store assistance. The role is full-time and requires strong communication, inventory awareness, and ability to operate store systems and POS.

Responsibilities include providing GAS2 selling experiences, meeting sales goals, and performing DIY services such as battery installations and wiper replacements, while maintaining high service and store standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics.
• English communication skills; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read safety rules and parts catalogs.
• Ability to follow written or diagram instructions.
• Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment.
• Strong basic math: add/subtract/multiply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work days, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customers.
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder duties (open/close, safety).
• Assist inventory: cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, parking lot.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, etc.
