Job summary

Kelley Auto Body is seeking a Parts Department Manager to lead a profitable, efficient team in the auto parts division. You will oversee purchasing, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing and merchandising, and coordination with Service and Body Shop to ensure fast parts turnaround.

Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills are essential. The role requires supervising the Parts staff, developing budgets, and implementing wholesale and promotional campaigns to maintain

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience and one year in an automotive parts department.
• Excellent communication and managerial skills; valid in-state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Forecast goals and objectives for the Parts Department and strive to meet them.
• Direct and supervise all department employees, including hiring and scheduling.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts for internal jobs.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the Parts Department.
• Direct outside parts and counter sales efforts and develop an aggressive wholesale parts program.
• Analyze departmental operations and inventory; monitor reports and ensure proper purchases and stock control.
• Enforce safety requirements (MSDS, OSHA) and direct shipping/receiving to ensure timely processing.
• Develop and execute sales promotions and utilize manufacturer inventory co-op advertising.
