Gossett Motor Cars is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead one of our largest parts departments. You will coordinate purchasing, inventory control, and collaboration with service and retail operations to keep customers supplied with the right parts.

Responsibilities

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
• Oversees pulling and filling orders from stock
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary
• Notifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received
• Follows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required
• Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order

JOB SUMMARY

Gossett Motor Cars is seeking a experienced Automotive Parts Manager to join our team and manager one of our largest parts department.

A Parts Manager oversees the parts department operation and works with the service departments and retail parts operation. Duties performed by parts managers include monitoring purchasing trends, managing inventory and reordering parts as needed; at all times, they must ensure that inventory is sufficiently stocked to meet customer needs. They oversee staff to insures that customers are handled in a timely and professional manner.
