Job summary

City of Midland, Texas is seeking a Parts Clerk to manage inventory and purchasing for the garage operations. You will count and track mechanical and vehicle parts, ensure accurate stocking, and process purchase orders and parts requests to keep operations running smoothly.

Applicants should have at least two years of experience at a parts counter, be able to read parts manuals, use a computer and ten-key adding machine, and hold a high school diploma with a valid Texas driver's license and

• Proficient with computers and ten-key adding machine.
• At least two years of experience at a parts counter.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Count and inventory mechanical and vehicle parts.
• Maintain and assure proper maintenance of parts.
• Process purchase orders and parts requests.
• Stock parts and perform light filing.
• Drive to locations to pick up parts.
• Provide custodial services to the department.
• Perform related duties as required.
