Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers and support store management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, with a focus on friendly, efficient service and accurate parts lookups.

You will greet customers, assist in merchandise selection, handle phone inquiries, process transactions, returns, and exchanges, and help with stocking and planogram updates. Occasional driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers promptly and help them select merchandise in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Answer store phone calls per company policy, look up parts and quote prices, and suggest related items.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per policy; address and resolve customer complaints.
• Contribute to daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, freight, and cleaning.
• Perform in-store services as allowed by state/local laws (e.g., wipers, batteries, headlights).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
