Job summary

Genuine Parts Company, operating under the NAPA brand, seeks a Store Associate to serve as the primary customer contact in a busy retail store. You will provide automotive parts solutions, support both retail and wholesale customers, and contribute to store performance through product knowledge and responsive service.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling POS transactions, managing inventory, and coordinating deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers.
• Deliver a consistently positive and engaging customer experience.
• Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and support team members.
• Operate POS, inventory/catalog tools, and communication devices.
• Maintain high energy and customer focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Support store operations including transactions, inquiries, and general workflow.
• Build relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
• Coordinate and dispatch deliveries, pull and prepare orders for customers and drivers.
• Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and organizational tasks to maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Assist with inventory control activities including receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, cycle counts, and accuracy of inventory records.
• Contribute to store operations and team support tasks to optimize performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to store processes and standards.
