Job summary

Parkway Family Auto Group in the Houston area is seeking an experienced Parts Counter Associate to assist customers in selecting the right parts over the counter, by phone, or in the shop. You will quote prices, pull and fill orders, and communicate with service advisors to ensure timely parts delivery.

The role requires a friendly, professional approach, willingness to work weekends, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive parts sales or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to quote prices and explain options to customers.
• Ability to assist with order fulfillment and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
