Job summary

Capitol City Ford is seeking a parts counter person to support our technicians by accurately identifying parts needs and processing orders from inquiry to invoicing. You will maintain strong knowledge of auto parts, warranties, promotions, and sales programs, and work with the parts manager to locate out-of-stock items.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, safety compliance, and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts counter experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• People focused and dedicated to customer service.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to look up parts in catalogs and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong product knowledge of auto parts, warranties, promotions, and sales programs.
• Overssee the parts sales process from tech inquiry to invoicing.
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Communicate with technicians on the status of parts ordered and notify them on delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.
