Job summary

Friendly Chevrolet, Inc. is seeking an organized and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter person to support our busy Service Department, technicians, wholesale accounts, and retail guests.

You will look up, identify, and sell OEM Chevrolet parts, answer pricing and availability questions, process orders, and maintain inventory with accuracy. This role offers growth within Minnesota's large Chevrolet dealership and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in automotive parts or strong customer service skills encouraged.
• Knowledge of parts catalogs and dealership operations is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to read catalogs and repair info.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians, service advisors, wholesale accounts, and retail customers with parts needs.
• Identify and sell OEM Chevrolet parts and accessories accurately.
• Answer calls and provide pricing, availability, and product information.
• Process orders from start to finish with high customer service standards.
• Pull, stage, package, and distribute parts for orders and pickups.
• Review repair orders and estimates to ensure correct parts.
• Maintain inventory through bin checks and organization.
• Monitor stock levels and flag low inventory or urgent replenishment needs.
• Source unavailable parts from approved vendors when needed.
• Bill internal parts to repair orders and handle transactions.
• Prepare parts for daily deliveries, shipping, or pickup.
• Keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficient.
