Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking a skilled Body Shop Painter at our OKC location to restore vehicles to pre-damage condition with high-quality finishes. You will prepare, prime, sand, color-match, and apply paint using industry-standard tools while ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced auction environment.

The ideal candidate has automotive refinishing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to top-tier work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive painter in a body shop or auction setting.
• Knowledge of automotive paint application techniques including HVLP spray systems.
• Ability to color-match and blend paint.
• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve exact OEM matches.
• Apply paint using spray guns and industry-standard tools.
• Perform touch-ups and buffing for a flawless finish.
• Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Follow OSHA and EPA regulations and collaborate with team.
