Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead the development, industrialization, and handover of packaging solutions for vehicle programs. You will work with Tier 1 components, ensure data integrity in VSIM and FLS, and participate in VBE activities across regions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field, three or more years in packaging, strong project management, and experience with Teamcenter/CATIA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Logistics, or related field is required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Extensive project management experience across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and industrialize packaging solutions for vehicle programs.
• Lead type-bound and standard/one-way packaging projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, and plants on packaging development.
• Verify packaging concepts with SQM, R&D, ME, IE and PSCE teams.
• Upload data to VSIM, FLS, and other systems and maintain PFEC and LEQM parameters.
• Support cost estimation and packaging change implementation.
• Contribute to benchmarking and Gemba walk activities.
