Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a Packaging Engineer to drive development, industrialization, and handover of standard and type-bound packaging solutions for vehicle programs. This role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers, purchasing, plants, and SCM to ensure compliant packaging solutions across the region.

You will manage cost estimates, data uploads, and verification activities, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional teamwork and timely execution within the Volvo packaging standards and VPDS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years of packaging engineering experience.
Automotive industry experience with packaging system design and implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement packaging solutions for all vehicle programs in the region.
Lead packaging development for standard, one-way, and type-bound packaging.
Collaborate with Purchasing, plants, and SCM on packaging solutions and cost estimates.
Verify packaging with stakeholders (SQM, R&D, ME, IE, PSCE, etc.).
Update data in systems (VSIM, FLS) and support Gemba walks and benchmarking events.
