Job summary

George Wall Ford is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to perform Ford-approved repairs on customer vehicles in the field. You will diagnose, test, and repair automotive systems using modern diagnostic tools, and communicate estimates to service advisors.

This role offers hourly pay up to $35 with paid training, union shop benefits, medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) with matching, and paid time off with tenure-based vacation. Prior mobile service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs specified on the repair order with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Repair vehicle systems including electrical, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC.
• Communicate estimates to service advisors for additional work.
• Complete repairs under manufacturer specifications.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Ford Mobile Service Techis responsible for performing work on vehicles as outlined on R.O.'s using the latest procedures and diagnostic techniques as well as check for additional needed repairs to report to our service advisors. Mobile Service Technicians are capable of performing mostautomotive repairs outlined by Ford, while most mobile service appointments focus on light duty work and recall completion.

*Prior Ford Mobile Service experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation/Benefits:

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• C level qualification, including Diagnostic, Mechanical and Electrical Repair
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record
