Job Site Repair in Mahtomedi seeks a hands-on leader to guide daily shop workflow, assign work to technicians, and tackle complex drivability and electrical issues on medium-duty trucks and fleet vehicles.

This role requires 7+ years of hands-on automotive/diesel repair, strong diagnostics, and a proven ability to mentor others. Expect a Monday–Friday evening shift with no weekends, a safe and organized shop, and opportunity to impact service quality.

Competenze

• At least 7 years of hands-on automotive and/or diesel repair experience.
• Experience with medium-duty trucks, gas and diesel platforms, and fleet vehicles.
• Lead tech, foreman, or supervisory exposure preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily shop workflow: prioritize tickets and assign jobs.
• Perform automotive and diesel repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using scan tools and software.
• Support techs with troubleshooting and complex repairs.
• Inspect vehicles, verify repairs with road tests, and recommend present/future work.
• Source, order, and coordinate parts; manage inventory considerations.
• Communicate timelines, findings, and recommendations to customers and ownership.
• Ensure inspections are completed and critical components are safe.
• Train, coach, and motivate mechanics to elevate quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized shop and ensure tools are in safe operating condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Schedule Monday–Friday, Evening shift: 5:00 PM–2:00 AM; No weekends.
