Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics for our Longview, TX area service centers. Join Team Mavis at one of the country’s largest tire sales and auto repair networks.

You will diagnose and repair vehicles, perform inspections, and service brakes, suspension, and tires while handling oil changes, fluid checks, and general maintenance. A strong toolbox and reliability are essential to success at this busy shop.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.
• Preferred ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services with a focus on undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our service centers in the Longview, TX area. Mavis operates over 2,000 retail locations and is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles, with a focus on undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements; ability to lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
