Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join their team in the Cedartown area of Georgia. As key players in undercar repairs, you will inspect, diagnose, and perform various automotive services on customers' vehicles, including brakes and tire rotations.

About the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They perform undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
• Extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs

Preferred:

• State inspection license(s)
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)

Physical Demands

Automotive Mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. They must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
