Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices in the Cartersville, GA area is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our state-of-the-art service centers. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and tires, and conduct state inspections.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair, and regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles.
• Undercar repairs including brakes, struts, shocks, and tire work.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and mount/dismount, rotate, and balance tires.

About the Position

As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.

• Extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair, and regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
