Job Summary
The Mechanical Service Technician is responsible for brake, tune-up, diagnostic, and repair services, as well as additional services as directed by the Shop Manager or Assistant Shop Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mechanical repair services following industry standards
• Develop trusting customer relationships through honest and competent service
• Maintain shop supply inventory and notify the Shop Manager of reorders as needed
• Explain SpeeDee programs, services, and pricing to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth
• Attend relevant training sessions to support career development
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and perform preventive maintenance
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues

Requirements

• Commitment to excellence at all service levels
• Advanced automotive experience
• A.S.E. Certification in Engine Performance, Engine Repair, and Brakes
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Enthusiastic work ethic
• Clean and professional appearance
• Valid driver's license

Other Duties and Responsibilities
All crew members are responsible for general maintenance and cleaning duties, attending meetings, and other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Working Conditions

• Materials used include automotive oils, fluids, lubricants, windshield washer fluid, and batteries
• Environment involves exposure to weather, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes
• Physical activities include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, handling, reaching, and lifting
