Job summary

Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District is seeking an Automotive Mechanic for the Transportation Department. This full-time, 12-month probationary appointment will maintain and repair a range of vehicles and equipment, including buses and trucks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, plus an Associate’s degree or automotive certificate, or six months of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination. NYS Class B CDL is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or automotive certificate OR six months of automotive mechanic experience OR an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs on motor vehicles and equipment including passenger vehicles, trucks, school buses, and grounds equipment.
• Repair heavy equipment and automotive systems: cooling, electrical, exhaust, steering and suspension, fuel systems, brakes and driveline.
• Diagnose automotive problems and operate shop equipment to fabricate or repair parts.
