Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle mechanical status determined by Operations Coordinators at check-in.
• Perform light mechanical repairs to get vehicle to run and/or drive.
• Perform minor repairs such as inflating or replacing tires; communicate with Operations Coordinators for updates.
• For more moderate repairs, contact yards or distributors to price used parts and obtain customer approval.
• Assess enhancement recommendations and communicate them to the Account.
• Maintain an organized, neat and safe bay.
• Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Automotive Mechanic Technician

This position determines the final mechanical status of vehicles before the unit is set for sale. This position performs basic vehicle repairs to increase the unit's value at auction.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle mechanical status determined by Operations Coordinators at check-in.
• Perform light mechanical repairs to get vehicle to run and/or drive.
• Perform necessary minor repairs to vehicles such as inflating or replacing tires, prior to parking. Communicate with Operations Coordinators to retake and update images.
• For more moderate repairs, contact local yards or distributors to find and price used parts when applicable. Contact customer directly for approval to make repairs.
• Look over vehicles for enhancement recommendations and communicate recommendations to Account.
• Maintain an organized, neat and safe bay.
• Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Install batteries and checks electrical systems.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Required

• 1 or more years of related work experience.

SMCOX

USD 20.10 - 30.10 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
