Job summary

Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic for full-time roles in the Verona, NJ area. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to keep customers safely on the road, with opportunities for growth within a national service organization.

Responsibilities include brakes, suspension, tires, oil changes, and routine maintenance, along with timely diagnostics and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Must have personal tools to perform repairs.
• State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications preferred (G1, A4, A5).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive maintenance and repair services.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, and related components.
• Diagnose vehicle maintenance needs and replace worn parts.
• Execute oil and filter changes and fluid checks.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires where applicable.
• Complete state inspections when required, and uphold safety standards.
• Maintain Mavis quality, safety, and customer service standards.
