Job summary

Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics to join our team in the State College, PA area. As part of the Mavis family, you will support automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers with a focus on quality and safety.

You will inspect and diagnose vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, brakes, suspensions, tire rotation, and state inspections where applicable. We offer competitive weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a supportive team

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep customers safely on the road.
• Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering.
• Diagnose vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform oil and filter changes and check fluids.
• Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Complete state inspections, where applicable.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Maintain Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service.
