Job summary

Mavis Tire in Carteret, NJ is seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics for full-time roles at our service, repair, and tire centers.

As part of the Mavis family, you'll diagnose and repair vehicles, perform brake, suspension, tire work, and complete state inspections where applicable, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs.
• Preferred: State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications (G1, A4, A5).

Responsibilities

• Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering.
• Diagnose vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform oil and filter changes and check fluids.
• Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Complete state inspections, where applicable.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Maintain Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service.
