Pep Boys Inc. is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain repairs, stay updated with evolving automotive tech, and mentor teammates to maintain a safe, organized shop.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of mechanical repair experience, and a valid driver’s license. Section 609 preferred; state inspection license if applicable.

Qualifications

• 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair to specifications including brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment services.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to coworkers and customers.
• Continuously learn new automotive tech through formal training.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians; maintain organized and safe work areas.
• Communicate repair problems to store management as they occur; adhere to policies and safety rules.
