Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards. You’ll work in a modern, climate-controlled facility and gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles while collaborating with a skilled team.

We offer a New Hire Bonus up to $5,000 based on experience, and a competitive hourly rate ranging from $24.70 to $41.94. Training, growth opportunities, and commitment to safety are core at CarMax.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by state/local law.
