Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet high safety and reliability standards. You’ll work with a team in a modern, climate-controlled facility and gain hands-on experience on both domestic and foreign vehicles.

We offer ongoing training and a collaborative environment designed to help you grow. The role requires physical capability, a valid driver’s license, and ASE certifications where required by state law.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications in Steering and Suspension, Brakes, Heating Air Conditioning, Electrical, Engine Repair, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Engine Performance, and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle where required by law.

Responsibilities
