We are currently hiring for an Automotive Mechanic to join our team! Based on our career development plan, there are two different position levels available based on experience. Below is a brief summary of each level and the requirements:
Automotive Mechanic I
- Starting Salary - $42,993.60
- Requirements - Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED is required in addition to one to five years' experience in repairing automotive, light and heavy power-driven equipment. Possession of valid driver's license. Possession of or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment, Virginia State Inspector's License and CDL Class B with School Bus endorsement.
Automotive Mechanic II
- Starting Salary - $45,156.80
- Requirements - All requirements stated for Automotive Mechanic I and 6-12 years of experience, 609 EPA certification, and ASE T8 certification
Automotive Mechanic III
- Starting Salary - $49,756.60
- Requirements - All requirements stated for Automotive Mechanic I and II and 13 years of experience and ASE H8 certification
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates a variety of diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools;
- Tests, services, and repairs vehicles and mechanical equipment;
- Inspects, adjusts and replaces necessary units and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work;
- Repairs brake, engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air, exhaust, axle, steering, HVAC, suspension assemblies, and related systems;
- Changes and repairs tires and tubes;
- Contributes to a positive work environment;
- Evaluates status of mechanical equipment and vehicles, and performs or schedules needed repairs;
- Other duties as assigned.
