Wscschools is seeking a qualified Automotive Mechanic for the Transportation Department in West Seneca. The role involves performing vehicle examinations and repairs to ensure safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will receive benefits such as health and dental insurance and paid time off, while also being required to have a valid driver’s license with specific endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School graduation and 3 years of experience as a journeyman automotive mechanic.
• High School graduation and 7 years of experience as a journeyman automotive mechanic.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience accepted.
• Valid Class B NYS driver's license with Passenger (P) endorsement required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine examinations and services on district vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and conduct repairs.
• Ensure compliance with the NYS Dept. of Education regulations.

Formation

High School Graduation

Journeyman automotive mechanic experience (3+ years)

Journeyman automotive mechanic experience (7+ years)

Valid Class B NYS driver's license with Passenger (P) endorsement

Approximate hours 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (Shift may vary due to the needs of the district).

Qualifications

• Graduation from HS and 3 years experience as a journeyman automotive mechanic

• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Valid Class B NYS driver’s license with Passenger (P) endorsement (Special requirement)
