Job Description Summary

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the New Bolton Center vehicle and off-road equipment pool. Position located in Kennett Square, no public transportation available.

Job Description

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the New Bolton Center vehicle and off-road equipment pool. Along with preventative maintenance of light and heavy gasoline, diesel and EV driven automotive and other mechanical equipment to prevent interruptions in business operations, the position will also be required to perform safety inspections, diagnoses, and minor repairs. Other duties required include creating scopes of work, detailed record keeping, invoicing, and effective communication with internal units and external vendors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Fleet (gas & diesel) maintenance, diagnostics and minor repairs.
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnostics and minor repairs of off-road equipment.
  • Demonstrate effective external and internal communications regarding repair/vehicles.
  • Shop organization, including invoices, record keeping, etc.
  • Plow snow, farm support and other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

High School Grad/GE Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and experience operating different types of vehicles and mechanical equipment. Must have a current and valid PA state inspection license. Must have a full compliment of tools (including American and metric sizes) and ½” air impact equipment. Journey level skills and training in the principles and practices of fleet maintenance (gas, diesel; light to heavy duty). Experience installing OEM and after market equipment on vehicles and equipment. Knowledge or interest in pursuing knowledge on hybrid and electric vehicles desirable. ASE or equivalent certifications preferred.
