- DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for the skilled maintenance and repair of a diverse range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, tractors, and various construction equipment such as rollers, sweepers, and mixers, as well as powered hand tools. Your duties will include performing repairs on diesel equipment, excluding diagnostics, parts rebuilding, and the repair of air brake systems and diesel engine fuel injection systems. Additionally, you will implement a preventive maintenance program for vehicles and equipment, which encompasses tasks such as oil changes, automotive diagnostics, tune-ups, tire changes, and repairs or replacements of engine sub-assemblies. You will also address cooling system repairs, suspension, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning, fuel systems, brakes, steering, and driveline systems.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Winter shifts are 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
- Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires employees to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
- This position requires possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic.
Post-Employment Requirement:
- Employee will be required to obtain a CFC-12 Refrigerant Recycling Certificate and a 134A Refrigerant Recycling Certificate.
Additional Requirements:
- You must supply own tool box and basic tools.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
