Aufgaben

• Prepare instructions regarding purchasing system and procedures.
• Direct the preparation of and issuance of purchase orders and change notices.
• Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare market analysis reports.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
• Design and develop systems and procedures to implement purchasing, production scheduling, inventory control and traffic for uninterrupted material flow.
• Establish plant purchasing procedures consistent with corporate policies.
• Develop procedures for parts suppliers to improve timeliness of deliveries.
• Implement visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
• Maintain inventories to assure availability of materials and parts for production.
• Set guidelines with suppliers to improve efficiency and cost savings while maintaining production flow.
• Assist in developing inventory budgets and guidance for management of inventories at approved levels.
• Develop procedures to handle engineering changes during model year for plant and suppliers for orderly transition.
• Assist Plant Engineering and Plant Quality Manager in Vendor Quality Assurance Program.
• Resolve disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
• Coordinate product changes to ensure timely start-up of production.
• Ensure supplies are delivered on time to maintain uninterrupted production and shipment.
• Adopt computer technology to support manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• Maintain Bill of Materials and databases for manufacturing system software.
• Utilize continuous improvement methods.
• Comply with all Company Safety policies.
