Job summary

Magna Exteriors in the United States seeks a materials planner to analyze demand, forecast needs, and schedule material for production. You will work with suppliers and Magna plants to ensure timely material availability on the production floor.

The role involves reviewing planning, issuing purchase orders, tracking inbound materials, and collaborating in daily production meetings to ensure inventory accuracy and schedule adherence while driving cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer demand, material requirements, and schedule material to be built on the production floor.
• Work directly with suppliers and Magna plants on material requirements.
• Review materials planning for the product groups assigned, issue purchase orders to suppliers, send forecasts, and daily tracking of inbound material ensuring on time arrival.
• Establish relationships with suppliers, hold supplier meetings, reviewing open purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize conflicting tasks.
• Participate in daily production meetings to communicate current inventory levels, schedule compliance, and other operating parameters.
• Analyze data to determine statistics, trends, measurable, etc. and act as required.
• Facilitate positive working relationships between all support staff garnering a team environment.
