Job summary

Magna Powertrain is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support automated washing and prep operations in our Sterling Heights facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, operate washers, and assist with facility upkeep while following safety procedures and quality standards.

You will train new staff, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve equipment issues. The role requires mechanical aptitude and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Automotive stamping manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime.
• Ability to spray paint and work with industrial paints.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pressure washers.
• Maintain and clean parts washers and recovery system.
• Perform total preventative maintenance on wash machines/heat treat equipment.
• Complete repair orders and maintain parts/supply usage records.
• Follow safety requirements while handling chemicals.
• Train new employees on machine operation.
• Maintain logs of preventive maintenance and test results.
• Communicate machine issues with Supervisor/Quality.
