Job summary

Kunes Auto Group in Macomb, IL is seeking Automotive Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and ensure quality workmanship.

We offer a paid training program with ASE certification reimbursement, competitive hourly pay from $18 to $25, daily pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. Valid driver’s license and your own tools required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of wrenching experience in a dealership or service center.
• ASE and OEM certifications or training preferred.
• Valid driver's license and own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of new/used vehicles and identify mechanical or electrical issues.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to determine root causes of issues.
• Repair or replace parts as necessary (brakes, tires, belts, hoses, suspension).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire rotations).

What You'll Do:

• Perform thorough inspections of new/used vehicles and identify any mechanical or electrical issues
• Conduct diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of any issues
• Repair or replace parts as necessary, such as brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and suspension systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Communicate with the service manager and provide recommendations for any repairs or maintenance work that may be needed

Requirements

You're Our Ideal Candidate If You Have:

• 1+ years of wrenching experience in a Dealership or Service Center required
• ASE and OEM certifications/training (preferred, but not required)
• Valid driver's license and a passion for all things automotive
• Your own Tools
