Bobby's Auto Service Center is a locally owned independent repair shop looking for a reliable Automotive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes pride in workmanship and customer safety in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a clean, well-equipped shop, a supportive team, and weekends off. You will perform routine maintenance, TPMS service, tire work, and minor repairs while maintaining accurate service records and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal automotive training is preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have your own professional set of automotive tools.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
• Mounting and balancing tires and performing tire repairs.
• Inspecting and maintaining TPMS and replacing TPMS sensors as needed.
• Checking and maintaining vehicle fluid levels, belts, and filters.
• Communicating clearly with customers and team regarding repairs and condition.

This is a full-time, on-site position in a professional, fast-paced, and well-equipped independent repair shop. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands that quality workmanship and customer safety come first.

Job Responsibilities

As an Automotive Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
• Mounting and balancing tires.
• Performing tire repairs using tire plugs.
• Inspecting and maintaining Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Replacing and relearning TPMS sensors when necessary.
• Checking battery condition and replacing batteries when needed.
• Checking and adjusting tire pressure to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspecting vehicles for oil leaks and other maintenance concerns.
• Inspecting front suspension components for wear or potential safety issues.
• Checking and maintaining vehicle fluid levels, filters, belts, and other routine maintenance items.
• Performing minor repairs, such as replacing bulbs and other basic components.
• Performing preventive maintenance to improve vehicle safety, reliability, and longevity.
• Communicating clearly with customers, technicians, and management regarding vehicle condition and recommended repairs.
• Troubleshooting maintenance concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Following proper shop safety procedures and industry standards.
• Managing time effectively and maintaining a productive workflow.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal automotive training is preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have your own professional set of automotive tools.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being a dependable team member.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Punctuality and dependable attendance are essential.
