This position requires:

• Two (2) years of experience as a skilled automotive repairer.
• One (1) year of experience in maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing repairs on process equipment in a conventional Activated Sludge Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• Inspecting and performing preventative maintenance on process equipment.
• Lubricating and cleaning pumps and machinery.
• Mechanical and plumbing tasks.
• Assisting in insulation of new equipment.
• Electrical maintenance tasks.
• Maintenance on regulating chambers and related equipment.
• Repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel motor equipment, including trucks, tractors, and buses.
• Repairing or replacing motor pumps, fuel pumps, generators, carburetors, shock absorbers.
• Repairing ignition systems, transmissions, brake systems, clutches, axles.
• Adjusting connecting rods, bearings, steering mechanisms, aligning wheels.
• Minor welding repairs to automotive equipment.
• Greasing vehicles, oil changes, tuning engines, setting timing.
• Attaching/removing snowplow blades and auxiliary equipment.
• Potentially operating a school bus on assigned routes.
• Diagnostic/analysis of electronic computer control systems.

This is an entry-level, full-time position in the Management and Manufacturing sector, within Individual and Family Services.
