Job summary

Central Automotive Group’s South Houston Nissan Dealership is seeking Automotive Main Shop Technicians to diagnose, inspect and service vehicles. You will handle maintenance tasks, communicate findings to customers, and ensure quality repairs in a busy shop environment.

The role requires knowledge of automotive systems, use of diagnostic tools, and a commitment to safety and accuracy. Nissan experience is preferred and ASE certification is valued.

Qualifications

• Understanding of automotive systems required.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and power tools.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Maintain professional appearance.
• Provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance in a fast-paced shop.
• Repair brake and steering systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/electronic systems.
• Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
• Repair cooling components and air conditioners.
• Perform emissions inspections and safety checks.
• Produce legible paperwork reflecting work performed.
• Read, interpret, and transcribe data for accurate records.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Other duties as assigned.
