Job summary
Chevrolet Of Merrillville Inc. is seeking a Dealership Lube Technician to join our fast-paced automotive service team.
You will perform high-quality, efficient preventative maintenance while identifying additional service needs to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. Responsibilities include oil and filter changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, accurate documentation, and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment in accordance with dealership and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Experience with basic automotive tools and equipment preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform fluid services: drain and refill engine oil, replace filters, and top off all critical automotive fluids.
- Conduct tire maintenance: rotations, mounting, balancing, and pressure checks.
- Execute multi-point inspections: inspect brakes, lines, hoses, belts, and underbody components thoroughly.
- Document and communicate: record all work on repair orders and report additional repair needs clearly to Service Advisors.
- Maintain shop safety: keep bays clean, organized, and compliant with dealership and OSHA safety standards.
