Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills seeks a full-time Lot Technician. The role involves moving and cleaning vehicles, maintaining appearance and condition, and assisting managers as needed.

The ideal candidate is reliable with a good work ethic; training is available. High school diploma (or GED) and ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles are required. Path to a career in automotive industry offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintains new- and used-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing fluids as needed, and replacing/charging batteries when necessary.
• Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keeps lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Makes key tags for vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.
