Job summary

Sheppard Auto Group in Eugene, Oregon is seeking an Automotive Sales and Service Porter with customer service experience to join our Volkswagen dealership team. This role supports the service and sales departments, ensuring smooth vehicle flow and timely delivery of vehicles and parts.

You will report to the Service Manager or Sales Manager and help maintain the service lane, greet customers, park vehicles, and coordinate with technicians.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and great customer service skills.
• Display a strong work ethic and utilize time well.
• WATCH THE SERVICE DRIVE FOR ARRIVING CUSTOMERS and greet them appropriately.
• Place protective floor and seat covers and maintain cleanliness of the service lane.
• Do not adjust the customer's vehicle or play the radio without approval.
• Inform ASM of any interior or exterior damage before leaving the area.
• Coordinate with ASM to preload shops with upcoming jobs and parts.
• Stay ready in the write-up area when not moving cars.
• Maintain appearance, cleanliness and cleanliness of the service lane and area.
• Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by management.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for the smooth flow of vehicles through the service lane and prompt delivery of vehicles and parts to technicians in the shop.
• Prompt delivery of completed vehicles to customers and/or service delivery area.
• Maintain proper service lane, service office and shop housekeeping.
