Job description

Automotive Porter Lot Attendant

The Automotive Porter Lot Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the maintenance and service of vehicles. This position interacts daily with the Product Specialist, Service Managers, Sales Managers, support staff, and customers. The goal of a Porter Lot Attendant is to ensure that our customers are 100% satisfied with the delivery of their vehicles.

Responsibilities of the Porter Lot Attendant:
  1. Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning the completed vehicle to the customer.
  2. Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately.
  3. Clean the interior and exterior of new and used vehicles.
  4. Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
  5. Pick up and deliver vehicles to and from storage.
  6. Test batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive.
  7. Maintain the building and grounds as needed.
  8. Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when required.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to handle machinery safely.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate an automobile.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining the lot, ensuring vehicles are fueled, properly stickered, and organized, as well as photographing vehicles as they arrive and uploading images to the website. The role involves outdoor work, so comfort working outside is essential.
