Job summary

Flex N Gate is seeking a Product Engineer to lead design, development and testing of new products and support production changes as needed. The role collaborates with Program Manager, CAD Designers, Electrical/Optical Engineers and Account Manager to identify features and improvements.

The engineer reviews drawings, specs and prototypes, prepares development reports and tests results, and liaises with customers on status, timing and engineering changes to ensure specifications are met or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in automotive industry, exterior lighting preferred.
• Knowledge of TS16949 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, schematics and prototypes against product requirements.
• Analyze and improve product quality, functionality and manufacturability.
• Reverse-engineer competitor products to identify strengths/weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain product development plans with targets and timelines.
• Coordinate with sales and manufacturing to align specs with strategy.
