Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking an experienced eCAD Engineer to lead PCB design for automotive exterior lighting systems and related electronics. You will drive eCAD activities, develop multi‑layer PCB layouts, and coordinate across global teams to ensure robust, compliant products.

The role requires 5–10+ years in electronics design and hands-on experience with Altium, DOORS or Polarion ALM, and ISO 26262 concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or related field.
5-10+ years’ experience in electronics design.
Experience with eCAD in automotive electronics or similar complex systems.
Working knowledge of ASPICE system development processes.
Familiarity with ISO 26262 Functional Safety concepts.
Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD/LIN and electromagnetic compatibility.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, characterize, optimize, validate, release, launch and maintain eCAD data for PCBs.
Ensure schematics, PCB layouts, and manufacturing data comply with standards and reliability requirements.
Maintain end-to-end traceability of layouts to requirements using management tools.
Collaborate with global teams to meet customer requirements.
Develop PCB stack-ups, routing strategies, impedance control and constraints.
Generate Gerbers, ODB++, BOMs; manage PCB projects and report to program managers.
Provide technical support during development, launch and production for related issues.
Interface with OEMs and suppliers; review OEM specs and integrate customer requirements.
