Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Lighting Design Release Engineer (DRE) in Irvine, CA to develop, validate, and release automotive lighting components and assemblies.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in automotive lighting design, hands-on CATIA V6 experience, and the ability to collaborate with Styling, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Tier-I suppliers to meet design intent, cost, and manufacturability requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant Lighting DRE or automotive lighting design experience.
• Experience with interior and exterior lighting systems and components.
• Hands-on CATIA V6 for 3D modeling and design.
• Experience with design release processes and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release automotive lighting components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with Styling to review surfaces and targets.
• Design with CATIA V6 and manage design release.
• Coordinate with Tier-I suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, cost, and quality targets.
• Support design reviews and timely component release.
