Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking a License and Title Clerk for Mid Rivers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Saint Peters, MO. This role supports the sales team by processing vehicle registrations and related title work.

You’ll handle tax and title documents, ensure accurate applications, and submit transfers to the DMV while maintaining title records and lien/payoff checks. Opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of License & Title experience preferred.
• Automotive dealership experience.
• Knowledge of CDK/ADP Dealer Service system strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as per local laws.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Process all vehicles for registration in the appropriate state.
• Prepare tax and title documents.
• Submit all legal transfer work to the DMV.
• Verify funds and lienholder payoffs before processing titles.
• Check applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trades.
• Bill dealer trades and prepare Certificates of Origin.
• Maintain system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Provide management with status of missing or problematic titles.

Located at Mid Rivers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, the License and Title Clerk is an important role that assists our sales teams by processing vehicle for registration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes all vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade‑ins.
• Bills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of month.

Job Requirements:
