Job summary

DEKRA North America is seeking an Automotive Process Consultant to implement and sustain a LEAN service concept for Volvo Group North America at select US dealerships across a broad geographic area, primarily Mid Atlantic to Boston and Chicago to Texas.

The role requires you to be a champion and coach, lead dealer teams, communicate goals, and develop action plans to meet timelines while training service staff on LEAN principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with minimum 10 years overall experience in 2–3 of the listed roles.
• Dealership Technician (with certifications) preferred
• Training (former Technical Trainer is a plus)
• Fixed Operations Consultant (OE or technology partner)
• Dealership Service Manager/Management Experience (3–5 years)
• Service Advisor

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating and following procedures.
• Function as the subject matter expert on the LEAN service concept to Volvo dealers and OE Regional Management.
• Be the primary lead implementer in participating dealers.
• Communicate program content, goals, and objectives to dealership management.
• Develop an Action plan with the Service Manager to meet timelines.
• Be an expert resource on LEAN principles for the service concept.
• Work on-site with dealership management and service teams to support implementation.
• Provide topic training to the service team and dealership management.
• Assist the dealership in making equipment and shop layout decisions to support implementation.
• Attend OE Regional Meetings to explain and support implementation.
