Position Summary

The Lead Technician uses their expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while leading and mentoring a team to improve customer satisfaction.

Pay Range: $23.40 - $41.57

Technicians are paid based on performance, with a flat-rate pay system rewarding efficiency and skill.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, electrical, suspension, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid training.
• Assist and train other technicians.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications within the first two years, with company-paid testing and bonuses for passing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license at all times.
• Skilled in brakes, alignment, suspension, general maintenance, and tire repair.
• Applicable federal, state, and local certifications/licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical info to non-technical customers.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical systems, engine repair, engine performance, transmissions, heating/AC.
• 5 years automotive repair experience or vocational training.
• A.S.E. certifications in multiple areas preferred.
