Position Summary

The Lead Technician requires experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, along with leadership skills to guide a team toward increased customer satisfaction.

Pay Range

$21.06 - $40.32

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
2. Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers clearly.
3. Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training.
4. Assist and mentor technicians and mechanics.
5. Obtain or maintain relevant certifications, with company-paid exams and bonuses for passing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, and general automotive maintenance.
• Relevant federal, state, and local certifications/licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical info effectively to non-technical persons.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, performance, transmission, heating/AC.
• 5+ years of automotive repair experience or vocational training.
• A.S.E. certification in at least 3 areas, with a focus on brakes, steering, suspension.
