Job Overview

Seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. The Technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty on‑road tractors, and trailers across various manufacturers. These vehicles use diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion technologies such as compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electric.

Physical Demands
  • Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the day
  • Sits infrequently as required during the day
  • Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary
  • Operates standard and manual transmissions
  • Operates power and pneumatic tools
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls
  • Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and a personal computer to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles
  • Work with a cooperative, diverse team and communicate effectively to maintain job safety conditions
  • Wear personal protective equipment and work in environments with variable temperature, humidity, and exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, and noise
  • Adapt to varying shift schedules, including second or third shifts and flexible hours as needed
Requirements
  • Active driver’s license issued by the state
  • Compliance with Department of Transportation requirements for the assigned job
  • Willingness to work second or third shifts, including Monday‑Friday, Sunday‑Thursday, and Tuesday‑Saturday schedules depending on location needs
  • Possesses required hand tools needed for the role
Knowledge and Skills
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and a PC
  • Possesses a full complement of personal hand tools
  • Must have a CDL Class B with air‑brake endorsement or a CDL Class A
  • Dependable with a regular, timely work presence and consistent completion of scheduled task workdays
  • Available for varying shifts, overtime, and service needs
  • Wears personal protective equipment as required
  • Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
  • Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and other modalities to maintain safety conditions
Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $37.12 per hour. For union‑represented postings, wage rates, ranges, and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
