Advantage Technical in Southfield, MI is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced automotive interior components and systems. This temporary, onsite role focuses on instrument panels, door panels, consoles, and trim, with collaboration across design, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in automotive interior systems, CAD with CATIA V5/V6, and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of automotive interior systems including instrument panels, door panels, consoles, headliners, and trim components.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, engineering requirements, and development timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Support product packaging, engineering releases, validation, and production launch activities.
• Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvements and supplier readiness.
• Utilize CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5/V6, for concept development and engineering reviews.
